Sowing The Seed
Painted Daisy seeds are best established outdoors in masses, when the weather is warm and all danger of frost has passed. Begin by clearing your sowing area of all unwanted plant life, removing all weeds as well. Scatter the seeds to the surface of the soil, covering thinly with 1/16″ of topsoil. Do not bury the seeds any further than the recommended depth, as they will require direct light to germinate properly.
Growing Conditions
Painted Daisy plants thrive in an area of full sunlight, with temperatures of at least 68F or more. The soil should be rich & fertile, while also being well drained as well. To increase your drainage, we recommend adding a light compost to any areas that consist of hard, compact soil. water the seeds daily with a mist setting to provide ample moisture, without disrupting the seeds, or washing them away.
Germination & Growth
Germination of your Painted Daisy seeds will occur within 7 to 10 days after sowing. The plants reach a mature height of roughly 12 to 36 inches tall, and can be spaced out accordingly. Remember the plants look best when sown by the masses, so try not to space them more than 8 to 12 inches apart from one another. Each plant will produce multicolored blooms, attracting an array of beneficial insects to the garden, such as butterflies, bumblebees & honeybees.
